Hi, It's possible that the cause of your issue is the devices coming up in a different order and being assigned different ALSA card numbers. You can get around this by setting the index in a file in /etc/modprobe.d (or at least that's how it's done in Debian Wheezy). Unfortunately I don't have a working example in front of me. Geoff.
