perl version failures (fwd)

Okay, ShlomiFish was correct concerning those problem files.  After 
deleting .cpan and .cpanplus then searching for those files again I 
deleted about four instances from the perl_core directory tree then 
reinstalled perl.  Now perldoc works correctly.
