Annoyingly, "/sbin/wpa_supplicant" is provided by the "wpasupplicant"
package.  The executable has an underscore in its name while the
package doesn't (facepalm).

  # which wpa_supplicant
  /sbin/wpa_supplicant
  # dpkg -S /sbin/wpa_supplicant
  wpasupplicant: /sbin/wpa_supplicant
