linux on msi computers

UHi,
You absolutely can run modern Linux versions with UEFI. I'm doing it
without any problems. A word of caution though: If you're going to dual
boot Windows and Linux, do yourself a favour and disable Windows Fast
Startup before installing Linux, otherwise it can supposedly cause
problems related to the UEFI partition.

To be on the safe side, don't re-enable the windows fast startup feature
after Installing Linux either. I currently have fast startup enabled in my
dual boot configuration, and haven't had any problems yet, but it's
probably safer to go with regular startup.

Before installation I just shrank the Windows partition (can be done
either with the diskpart CLI program or the GUI disk management program)
and then I told Linux to use the free space.
