Strange mail problem

Answers to a couple more questions might help track down where things
are going slow:

Are you running mailq on the mail server or on your local machine?

Also, are you running fetchmail in singledrop mode (fetching one
address worth of mail) or multidrop mode (receiving remote mail
destined for many local recipients)?

Are you using fetchmail's "--mda" (or just "-m") option to specify a
MDA manually, or is using the default of connecting to port 25 of your
localhost and then getting routed around as mail?
