need to skip vinux and install ubuntu

small problem, I would have to have a working linux system to use that tool (unless there happens to be a windows version). right now, the only way I can get linux working on here is via USB stick. I don't have a working DVD drive for either machine nor do I have any external media other than a USB stick or 2. see the problem here?
