Spd.conf ruined my speech. Please help.

[Linux for blind general discussion]

Now I have British-sounding speech as well as slow speech with pitch
changes and punctuations spoken that I don't want. I really need to
use the file I was using before.
Again, help is necessary and greatly appreciated.
