oleo spreadsheet is a huge mess

No wonder it hasn't been maintained for the last 17 years! I had contact
with an author who is working on refactoring the oleo spreadsheet source
code and he told me it has huge functions in it with huge state tables and
when things get broken inside projects like that it's difficult to locate
the defective code to repair it. Must have been Microsoft Windows
programmers writing that spreadsheet originally. I was told had Microsoft
had all unterminated loops in the source code for Windows XP properly
closed the whole operating system would have had no problem running in
640K of memory.
