Setting up wireless on Ubuntu Mate

I'm attempting to set it up using the hotspot on my iPhone. I don't have wired, so that's not an option.

I've added these lines to my /etc/network/interfaces file:
auto wlp2s0
iface wlp2s0 inet dhcp
wpa-ssid "Amanda's iPhone"
wpa-psk "my wireless key"

I've restarted the interface and the computer but I still can't connect. Suggestions?
