Oh sorry, I use emacs in terminal all the time and it just uses the same voice I have running whatever it is.

And yes, I see what you mean now. I like working in terminal for certain things too and now I see how this relates to your interview. Thanks for explaining.

I know how to switch voices with voiceover but I'm asking about emacs.
Alex always comes up with no obvious way to change it.

It's probably overkill but I thought it would be nice to have an
environment that I feel comfortable coding in. Terminal with voiceover
is still awkward.
