for sha1sum files the sum is followed by a blank then either an asterisk for binary files or some other character that doesn't speak with espeak in quotes and then the filename. Does anyone know what that mystery character is? I'm trying to generate a properly formatted sha1sum file to integrity check an iso a little faster. --
