Howdy Chime,

but just beeing installed makes it not used as default :). i think 
debian is still using python 2.7 by default.

for you as python 3 is installed but python 2 default by your 
distribution need to use
pip3 insteed of pip (what refers to pip2 cause it is default for debian)
