Setup of Raspberry PI

Thank you for all the hints and pointers.  I got this working with the default image in the end.  I had forgotten about the ability to add an ssh file to my boot device and connect that way.

I really appreciate the answers here.

I installed Ubuntu server using the Raspberry Pi imager, then simply worked w/it via SSH.
