If I had made a dos partition when installing Linux dosemu probably would 
have worked once that partition got mounted and then dosemu were run. 
Running dosemu, I needed to run with -dumb and -m to disable vga and the 
mouse.  Once those two got disabled dosemu ran up to the point where it 
couldn't find and needed a complete shell command to run, I 
suspect lack of a dedicated dos partition caused that error.
