Getting Started with linux

[Linux for blind general discussion]

Is there a reason why you haven't tried Slint, Howard? It's accessible
out-of-the-box & is likely a good starting point for a beginner. &
it's developer is a regular participant on blind Linux mailing list,
including 1 of his own, I believe.
