Getting Ready For linux

[Linux for blind general discussion]

Thank you Didier.  And thank you for the address to the instructions.  
I'm going to try to build a system on an external USB drive.  I'll be 
using a windows 10 machine to do the work. Now I just need to make it 
boot from USB stick.
