Konsole progress/any good alternatives?

I've taken a poke at the code to see if I can help with obvious
solutions and, honestly, I don't even begin to understand how that file
is put together at all.
Assuming you fix things, would that be a PR, or would I just be able to
do a paru -S konsole-git, use my aur helper and go from there? I'm not
sure if it'd just be a straight commit or how it'd work.
I've run into the same, or similar at least, issues with LXQT's terminal
just as a heads up but I'm not sure anything can be done about that
since it is built against QT 5.15
