mine stuck with checking ports like this (oc client version
v1.3.0-alpha.1-6e83535 and regardless of passing --version)

./oc cluster up --version='v1.2.0'
-- Checking Docker client ... OK
-- Checking for existing OpenShift container ... OK
-- Checking for openshift/origin:v1.2.0 image ... OK
-- Checking Docker daemon configuration ... OK
-- Checking for available ports ...

origin. It only supports virtualbox.

yes, I got invited to try openshift origin, tried the docker above with no
luck, went to web site to try the vm and no luck (I'm a fedora user having
kvm no vbox)

it's good to have kvm provider, but fixing docker would be better
