[Crash-utility] WRT: too many redirections bug

In regards to the 409 line command file containing a long series of:
   bt n > output-n
with "n" taking on 407 different values and then ending with the line:
   ! bash script
[[That last command fails because the pipe call fails.]]

I thought I'd let you know the oldish version, too.
In doing so, it seems the program goes through all the startup rigmarole
before processing options.  It shouldn't do that.  No point in bumping into
failing configurations if all you are going to do is print out a version.
