Hi All,

Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 bytes
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hda1 * 1 261 2096451 6 FAT16
/dev/hda2 262 522 2096482+ 5 Extended

/dev/hda4 536 1240 5662912+ 83 Linux

/dev/hda9 451 475 200781 fd Linux raid autodetect
/dev/hda10 476 522 377496 83 Linux

I want to create volume using partions /dev/hda7 and /dev/hda8
Now i changed my dmsetup (table file ) file which is as follows
******************************:
0 409600 linear /dev/hda7 0
0 409600 linear /dev/hda8 0
*******************************
[Since two disk of same size]
But when I execute the command
# dmsetup create dmsetup dmsetup
It gives the following error message
device-mapper ioctl cmd 9 failed: Invalid argument
Command failed
I am not able to understand , whats going wrong in this ...
Please guide me to solve this problem ...
Thanks and Regards
