[dm-devel] snapshot driver...

Hi,
I am supposed to be writing a snapshot driver which can be used to take a
snapshot of any volume on the Linux box irrespective of whether the volume is
a part of EVMS or LVM. The device mapper module has the snapshot code with
it. Can somebody advise me whether it will be a good idea to use that
snap-shot code and convert it into an independent driver?
