Hi all,

Although there are a few known issues with the rc1, we've fixed some of the
most urgent ones. For the first time in a while, our jenkins CI has been
flickering green, so we have definitely made some progress :)

I'd like to release 0.17.1 today to get something out there so that we can
focus on the next set of improvements and fixes for 0.18.0. If anyone has
any blocking issues, please raise them/respond to this email and we can
discuss what to do.
