Cobbler 0.8.3 is a release to fix items found on the 0.8.X branch while
work continues on 0.9.X/1.0.

 From the changelog:

- Make createrepo run for local cobbler reposync invocations as needed
- fix WebUI documentation URL
- fix bug in /etc/cobbler/modules.conf regarding pluggable authn/z
- fix default flags for yumdownloader
- fix for RHEL 4u6 DVD/tree import x86_64 arch detection
- fix dnsmasq template to point at the correct hosts file
- force all names to be alphanumeric

The 0.9.X branch is coming along well. The plan is to work on it for
another month or so and then have a test
release. 1.0 should be available in June.

So far Cobbler 0.9.X includes:

- the ownership module (mentioned on list)
- patch to allow yumopts to override gpgcheck
- Lots of authn/authz improvements
- LDAP authentication support
- ability to delete kopts/ksmeta from the command line
- ability to send the hostname via ISC dhcpd
- support for the new default tftpboot location /var/lib/tftpboot in F9
(discovered from xinetd)
- WebUI now has a checkbox for deleting child objects
- Seperate semantics for "add" vs "edit", and a --no-clobber option to
add to allow "add or edit" behavior.
- Detection/prevention for duplicate IP/MAC info

Koan 0.8.2 will be released at the same time, which right now also includes:
- VMware support
- changes to work with the new version of livecd creator (for Cobbler
LiveCD)

Still on the list for Cobbler 0.9.X/1.0
- Refine/test kerberos support
- Fixing up the kickstart editor
- Update templates to use %end to avoid warning from validateks
- Better status tracking (finally!)
- Smarter kickstart snippets, as mentioned on the list recently
- ... other neat stuff ...

The source RPM is available now at http://cobbler.et.redhat.com/download
and will be pushed out to the mirrors shortly for EL-4, EL-5, F-7, F-8,
and devel (F-9).

Thanks to everyone who has contributed ideas, patches, testing, and
feedback!
