Oops in journal_dirty_sync_data [ext3]

Hi all,

This just got me out of bed at 5am. Although there are a lot of Oops
reports on the list I didn't find any for my kernel version
or with a similar stack trace. I'm wondering if this is a known issue?
Kernel: 2.4.20-8 (Redhat 9.0 default kernel).
There's 2GB of RAM, I'm using barely 1/4 of it. I'm fairly confident RAM
is okay (memchecked on install).
Disk is supposed to be RAID 5, there are no other indications of disk
problems.
The java app in question has a _lot_ of threads which can do disk
writes. The java process locked up and wouldn't even die
with a kill -9. Required a reboot to clear it out.
This is the first time this has happened, box is around 3 months old
with pretty good reliability so far.

I see there's a newer kernel (2.4.20-31.9) on the RH update server, but
before I just upgrade and hope for the best I thought
I'd post.

Thanks in advance,
---
