This indicates that there is some issue in the 64/32 bit ioctl compatibility
code.  This means that the e2fsprogs need to be rebuilt with 64-bit support,
or see if the ioctl32() handler is already fixed in a newer kernel (I recall
work being done for the ext3 ioctl code).
