late-March/late-October (was Re: [fab] looking at our surrent state a bit)

While looking of this again I noticed a detail that confused me slightly:

Why do you (and Jesse once in this thread, too) refer to
"late-March/late-October"? That should be "late-March/late-September"
(GNOME releases mid-March and mid-September) or
"late-April/late-October" afaics (or something in between). Note, there
are seven months between March and October, but only five between
October and March...
