[Excuse this if it is a duplicate, not sure the first try went through.]
Sorry I missed the meeting Thursday, I cannot make the meetings on the
week they are at 22:00. I have been an ambassador for awhile now, but I
have my first big event coming up. Pat McKelvey was going to be the
lead on this event, but due to health issues will be unable to do so. I
will need to get up to speed on the proper ways to request materials, etc.
A little background on the Ohio Linux Fest. It started in 2003 at The
Ohio State University and has now moved to the Greater Columbus
Convention Center. In the past Red Hat, Novell, the Apache Software
Foundation, Samba Team and others have had speakers present. Last years
attendance was ~750 people. This year they are planning for ~1200.
There is exhibit area space available at varying price levels. How does
this portion work? Do I register for space and get reimbursed? How
much does Fedora typically pay for booth space? The available options
are here:

There are also opportunities for speakers (deadline July 31st). In
looking at past meeting logs I see where Pat asked about a Fedora or Red
Hat guest speaker. It was suggested there by Thomas Chung to send an
email to the FAMSCO list, so I will also send an email there tonight on
this front to see if a higher profile speaker is necessary/available.
I will request material via the form once I know how arranging the
exhibit space is supposed to work.
So let me know if I am on the right track, have tips or other suggestions.
Thanks,
Jeffrey
