There's no need to vote. Susmit *did* something, and you want others
who did nothing to choose if what he did is correct ?

That's not how FOSS works. We are a meritocracy. Those who do, lead.

Susmit did something. His solution is the only working one. It's
normal that his solution is the chosen one. No need to argue.

If you actually want to have your say in the choice, don't ask for a
vote: start coding :)
