What about adapting mirror manager to work for this? You could setup a process to verify new vendors then when added to the list they are required to do some kind of update once a release cycle. The modified mirror manager could then scan the sites in the list and check for modified times.

You do not have to use the mirror manager example but a simple php scrip (simple for someone versed in php) could check the sites and update the list according to dead links or not.

Just as I was checking these[1][2].

These pages are highly outdated. Many does not even exsists anymore.
This is high time we need to think of a sustainable way to keep these
lists updated.
Ideas?

Also there is no contact data or contact person for LocalVendor page.
Does anyone have this data?
