Description : The sharutils package contains the GNU shar utilities, a set of tools for encoding and decoding packages of files (in binary or text format) in a special plain text format called shell archives (shar). This format can be sent through e-mail (which can be problematic for regular binary files). The shar utility supports a wide range of capabilities (compressing, uuencoding, splitting long files for multi-part mailings, providing checksums), which make it very flexible at creating shar files. After the files have been sent, the unshar tool scans mail messages looking for shar files. Unshar automatically strips off mail headers and introductory text and then unpacks the shar files. Install sharutils if you send binary files through e-mail. --------------------------------------------------------------------- * Thu Mar 31 2005 Than Ngo 4.2.1-18.1.FC2 - apply patch to fix multiple buffer overflows #152571 - apply patch to fix buffer overflow in handling of -o option, CAN-2004-1772, #123230 --------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be downloaded from: http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/2/ 22f58e3841b4ff9de5eef6e5a8d84ef2 SRPMS/sharutils-4.2.1-18.1.FC2.src.rpm d31b37a68a56df58a08d10605d2b6c8e x86_64/sharutils-4.2.1-18.1.FC2.x86_64.rpm e8321daa0a4b890aae11dd35306ed344 x86_64/debug/sharutils-debuginfo-4.2.1-18.1.FC2.x86_64.rpm 6f7d0c8bc00709ebe55e56635bbea2d9 i386/sharutils-4.2.1-18.1.FC2.i386.rpm bc666746782979cb6de3628981e77c5f i386/debug/sharutils-debuginfo-4.2.1-18.1.FC2.i386.rpm This update can also be installed with the Update Agent; you can launch the Update Agent with the 'up2date' command. --------------------------------------------------------------------- From than at redhat.com Fri Apr 1 10:26:17 2005 From: than at redhat.com (Than Ngo) Date: Fri, 01 Apr 2005 12:26:17 +0200 Subject: [SECURITY] Fedora Core 3 Update: sharutils-4.2.1-22.1.FC3 Message-ID: <424D21C9.70009@redhat.com> --------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2005-281 2005-04-01 --------------------------------------------------------------------- Product : Fedora Core 3 Name : sharutils Version : 4.2.1 Release : 22.1.FC3 Summary : The GNU shar utilities for packaging and unpackaging shell archives. This decision has been made by comittee because of the many advantages web forums have over mailing lists in support of end-users. Nothing changes about the existing mailing lists, but we encourage end-users to go to the forums first if they have support questions. Development discussion remains unchanged on designated mailing lists. http://forums.fedoraforum.org End-User Official Community Support Forum of Fedora Project All users of Fedora Core and Fedora Legacy are encouraged to join the forums here. Post questions in the appropriate forum, and any threads that you participate can notify you via e-mail when someone replies. The chair of the committee (that's me) is then accountable for the entirety of the documentation process. The chair can delegate any of those tasks, from writing and editing to managing CVS and Web publication. In fact, the structure is such that the chair -must- delegate or drown in the workload. All committee work is done in the open. Read the charter and process docs linked from the Wiki page above for more information. It is a stated goal of Fedora steering committees to be balanced with members of the Fedora community. This translates as, "People who don't work for Red Hat." For this reason, we have formed the first round of the committee with four members of the community-at-large and three of us from Red Hat. If you want all the gory details of what the committee does and how it works, read the charter and process docs. These people were picked for the committee because of merit. In the future, when there is more room on the committee and/or sub-committees are created, we will be looking around for other project members who merit inclusion. My objective, in chairing the committee and running the project, is to get relevant Fedora documentation written. My emphasis is on quality over quantity. You will see the FDSC active on the list, working out processes, and working within and without process to get stuff done. There are advantages to having a minimal amount of order. Many here would agree with this approach. It is easier to get stuff done. Even grassroots organizing is organized. There are also advantages of process. Without enough good process, the project will not survive. A company can enforce process on their management of a distro, but for a community to buy into the process, it must arise from the community. There will be necessary process created and followed for this project. This package contains the SELinux example policy configuration along with the Flask configuration information and the application configuration files. --------------------------------------------------------------------- * Thu Apr 7 2005 Dan Walsh 1.17.30-2.96 - Allow snmpd to communicate with self:fifo_file. - Add execmod/execmem privs --------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be downloaded from: http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/3/ a65fa57603f4ac97bedbfa1206997739 SRPMS/selinux-policy-targeted-1.17.30-2.96.src.rpm 31713ddaebd1256f43a745fdaa32c7f3 x86_64/selinux-policy-targeted-1.17.30-2.96.noarch.rpm 89fa61d3acb44cf3ef98d12cc6b91b46 x86_64/selinux-policy-targeted-sources-1.17.30-2.96.noarch.rpm 31713ddaebd1256f43a745fdaa32c7f3 i386/selinux-policy-targeted-1.17.30-2.96.noarch.rpm 89fa61d3acb44cf3ef98d12cc6b91b46 i386/selinux-policy-targeted-sources-1.17.30-2.96.noarch.rpm This update can also be installed with the Update Agent; you can launch the Update Agent with the 'up2date' command. --------------------------------------------------------------------- -- From cfeist at redhat.com Tue Apr 12 18:29:39 2005 From: cfeist at redhat.com (Chris Feist) Date: Tue, 12 Apr 2005 13:29:39 -0500 Subject: Fedora Core 3 Update: autofs-4.1.3-114 Message-ID: <425C1393.7050701@redhat.com> --------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2005-282 2005-04-12 --------------------------------------------------------------------- Product : Fedora Core 3 Name : autofs Version : 4.1.3 Release : 114 Summary : A tool for automatically mounting and unmounting filesystems. Description : autofs is a daemon which automatically mounts filesystems when you use them, and unmounts them later when you are not using them. This can include network filesystems, CD-ROMs, floppies, and so forth. --------------------------------------------------------------------- * Wed Mar 23 2005 Chris Feist - 1:4.1.3-114 - Fixed regression causing any entries after a wildcard in an indirect map to be ignored. (bz #151668). - Fixed regression which caused local hosts to be mount instead of --bind local directories. (bz #146887) * Thu Mar 17 2005 Chris Feist - 1:4.1.3-110 - Fixed one off bug in the submount-variable-propagation patch. (bz #143074) - Fixed a bug in the init script which wouldn't find the -browse option if it was preceded by another option. (fz #113494) * Mon Feb 28 2005 Chris Feist - 1:4.1.3-100 - When using ldap if auto.master doesn't exist we now check for auto_master. Addresses bz #130079 - When using an auto.smb map we now remove the leading ':' from the path which caused mount to fail in the past. Addresses bz #147492 - Autofs now checks /etc/nsswitch.conf to determine in what order files & nis are checked when looking up autofs submount maps which don't specify a maptype. Addresses IT #57612. * Fri Feb 11 2005 Jeff Moyer - 1:4.1.3-97 - Program maps can repeat the last character of output. Fix this. Addresses bz #138606 - Return first entry when there are duplicate keys in a map. Addresses bz #140108. - Propagate custom map variables to submounts. Fixes bz #143074. - Create a sysconfig variable to control whether we source only one master map (the way sun does), or source all maps found (which is the default for backwards compatibility). Addresses bz #143126. - Revised version of the get_best_mount patch. (#146887) cfeist at redhat.com The previous patch introduced a regression. Non-replicated mounts would not have the white space stripped from the entry and the mount would fail. - Handle comment characters in the middle of the automount line in /etc/nsswitch.conf. Addresses bz #127457. * Wed Feb 2 2005 Chris Feist - 1:4.1.3-93 - Stop automount from pinging hosts if there is only one host (#146887) * Wed Feb 2 2005 Jeff Moyer - 1:4.1.3-89 - Fix potential double free in cache_release. This bug showed up in a multi-map setup. Two calls to cache_release would result in a SIGSEGV, and the automount process would never exit. * Mon Jan 31 2005 Jeff Moyer - 1:4.1.3-86 - Merge in map expiry code. - Merge in patches from devel branch. * Mon Jan 24 2005 Chris Feist - 1:4.3-84 - Fixed documentation so users know that any local mounts override any other weighted mount. * Mon Jan 24 2005 Chris Feist - 1:4.3-79 - Added a variable to determine if we created the directory or not so we don't accidently remove a directory that we didn't create when we stop autofs. (bz #134399) * Sun Dec 12 2004 Chris Feist - 1:4.1.3-68 - Fixed segfault when LDAP_SIZELIMIT_EXCEEDED is called and --ghost is used, addresses bz #137220 & #142576. * Tue Dec 7 2004 Chris Feist - 1:4.1.3-60 - Fixed problem with autofs not finding all mount points in an ldap map. bz #139548 * Fri Nov 19 2004 Jeff Moyer - 1:4.1.3-59 - Pass a socket into clntudp_bufcreate so that we don't use up additional reserved ports. This patch, along with the socket leak fix, addresses bz #128966. - Add a space after "Starting automounter:". Addresses bz #138513 * Mon Nov 15 2004 Jeff Moyer - 1:4.1.3-52 - Make autofs understand -[no]browse. Addresses fz #113494. * Thu Nov 11 2004 Jeff Moyer - 1:4.1.3-49 - Fix the umount loop device function in the init script. * Mon Nov 8 2004 Chris Feist - 1:4.1.3-45 - Added a patch to fix a bug which didn't test all hosts in a replicated map to see which one had the lowest ping. (bz #130467) * Wed Nov 3 2004 Chris Feist - 1:4.1.3-41 - Fixed init script to not look for maps in the current directory (bz #57008) * Fri Oct 29 2004 Chris Feist - 1:4.1.3-38 - Fixed ldap limit search patch to only issue warnings only when ghosting is requested. * Wed Oct 27 2004 Chris Feist - 1:4.1.3-33 - Added a patch to fix the automounter failing on ldap maps when it couldn't get the whole map. (ie. when the search limit was lower than the number of results) * Thu Oct 21 2004 Chris Feist - 1:4.1.3-32 - Fixed the use of +ypmapname so the maps included with +ypmapname are used in the correct order. (In the past the '+' entries were always processed after local entries.) * Thu Oct 21 2004 Chris Feist - 1:4.1.3-31 - Fixed the duplicate map detection code to detect if maps try to mount on top of existing maps. * Wed Oct 20 2004 Chris Feist - 1:4.1.3-29 - Fixed a problem with backwards compatability. Specifying local maps without '/etc/' prepended to them now works. PHP also offers built-in database integration for several commercial and non-commercial database management systems, so writing a database-enabled webpage with PHP is fairly simple. The most common use of PHP coding is probably as a replacement for CGI scripts. The mod_php module enables the Apache Web server to understand and process the embedded PHP language in Web pages. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: This update includes the latest stable release of PHP 4.3, including a number of security fixes to the exif extension (CVE CAN-2005-1042 and CAN-2005-1043) and the getimagesize() function (CVE CAN-2005-0524), along with many bug fixes. --------------------------------------------------------------------- * Wed Apr 6 2005 Joe Orton 4.3.11-2.4 - snmp: disable MSHUTDOWN function to prevent error_log noise * Wed Apr 6 2005 Joe Orton 4.3.11-2.3 - really restore Net_SMTP from PEAR * Wed Apr 6 2005 Joe Orton 4.3.11-2.2 - revert default php.ini changes since 4.3.10 - restore from PEAR: HTTP, Mail, XML_Parser, Net_Socket, Net_SMTP - remove bundled PEAR packages HTML_Template_IT, Net_UserAgent_Detect * Wed Apr 6 2005 Joe Orton 4.3.11-2.1 - update to 4.3.11 (CAN-2005-0524, #153141) - revert Zend double->long conversion change (#143514) - don't configure with --enable-safe-mode (#148969) - install gd headers (#145891) - bundle PEAR DB-1.7.5 (omitted from 4.3.11 tarball) --------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be downloaded from: http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/3/ 37ba9891122583c69a5086c9d2fd2102 SRPMS/php-4.3.11-2.4.src.rpm 5f55d6dba7e02348783348b6759242f9 x86_64/php-4.3.11-2.4.x86_64.rpm 6a78adae0f8f9bba54387847b100fd96 x86_64/php-devel-4.3.11-2.4.x86_64.rpm c078f4c78928558bac77a8b182cbabb2 x86_64/php-pear-4.3.11-2.4.x86_64.rpm e437dcd4b70e0df01febae880a5bc70f x86_64/php-imap-4.3.11-2.4.x86_64.rpm 1dbef89de378f779061e49e8cb2d0e94 x86_64/php-ldap-4.3.11-2.4.x86_64.rpm d5ae259075870e63d316229604957da8 x86_64/php-mysql-4.3.11-2.4.x86_64.rpm a451afd4a2349c35c423db1905a768c9 x86_64/php-pgsql-4.3.11-2.4.x86_64.rpm 2e66b7cf8d2e933a069cec155c183f31 x86_64/php-odbc-4.3.11-2.4.x86_64.rpm cfe08c4c4f8d43a7818aa8b48325ecd1 x86_64/php-snmp-4.3.11-2.4.x86_64.rpm a51bfe897fae0a405ed2b6903cddcd50 x86_64/php-domxml-4.3.11-2.4.x86_64.rpm 0716c2c04d3bba58731b32d3d65e6770 x86_64/php-xmlrpc-4.3.11-2.4.x86_64.rpm 0eedc210d61bb40387b14061ead7d417 x86_64/php-mbstring-4.3.11-2.4.x86_64.rpm ef1b4ca7890d51e8d75a890b4fd7fe60 x86_64/php-ncurses-4.3.11-2.4.x86_64.rpm 4dc74e7d7fd46e2ec241c12d25451c21 x86_64/php-gd-4.3.11-2.4.x86_64.rpm b5156d2cadc5fcd4bee9a86e7610b211 x86_64/debug/php-debuginfo-4.3.11-2.4.x86_64.rpm bd225ddda74ef2431da1ee38eb85871b i386/php-4.3.11-2.4.i386.rpm 40a45386cd76b9386efd22e09be8467a i386/php-devel-4.3.11-2.4.i386.rpm 421d85b05c9aab1d1eba602f39f50c6a i386/php-pear-4.3.11-2.4.i386.rpm 3553b774daa0a991be9eaae9815c0ddb i386/php-imap-4.3.11-2.4.i386.rpm d102699b4264c735af2cfa0a305c9cca i386/php-ldap-4.3.11-2.4.i386.rpm 326bb7af88a83aeff7937601fbe35835 i386/php-mysql-4.3.11-2.4.i386.rpm d917f68f2c53192eec915854c11432b8 i386/php-pgsql-4.3.11-2.4.i386.rpm 9721e9f984e8e56cdad453f5ab03182e i386/php-odbc-4.3.11-2.4.i386.rpm 8853467943485b20226e82cffb1dd321 i386/php-snmp-4.3.11-2.4.i386.rpm c414f1735ae0fa589f20db0a8dfa88e0 i386/php-domxml-4.3.11-2.4.i386.rpm ecfbcbb670aa6e764bd3d4c4d1a51a3c i386/php-xmlrpc-4.3.11-2.4.i386.rpm a5d78f1be3481e3f08e634bee8141f0f i386/php-mbstring-4.3.11-2.4.i386.rpm 8a89a49c4e7e9b94067885eaa0953bb8 i386/php-ncurses-4.3.11-2.4.i386.rpm ce51c0cda3d383b2feb27082fbfe06be i386/php-gd-4.3.11-2.4.i386.rpm 54b1730c9ce4b17df7a8f3531f27cc83 i386/debug/php-debuginfo-4.3.11-2.4.i386.rpm This update can also be installed with the Update Agent; you can launch the Update Agent with the 'up2date' command. --------------------------------------------------------------------- From sopwith at redhat.com Mon Apr 18 20:54:05 2005 From: sopwith at redhat.com (Elliot Lee) Date: Mon, 18 Apr 2005 16:54:05 -0400 (EDT) Subject: Fedora Extras: Get involved more easily! Description : CVS (Concurrent Version System) is a version control system that can record the history of your files (usually, but not always, source code). CVS only stores the differences between versions, instead of every version of every file you have ever created. CVS also keeps a log of who, when, and why changes occurred. CVS is very helpful for managing releases and controlling the concurrent editing of source files among multiple authors. Instead of providing version control for a collection of files in a single directory, CVS provides version control for a hierarchical collection of directories consisting of revision controlled files. These directories and files can then be combined together to form a software release. --------------------------------------------------------------------- * Mon Apr 18 2005 Martin Stransky 1.11.17-6.FC3 - add security fix CAN-2005-0753 (Derek Price) --------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be downloaded from: http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/3/ c542a69c89fa358cf682a1e6ac3d42b9 SRPMS/cvs-1.11.17-6.FC3.src.rpm fe4e4f331cb1ad9036762cf5b4e22af8 x86_64/cvs-1.11.17-6.FC3.x86_64.rpm 7c319e346c6d4f93733d7e9e665527eb x86_64/debug/cvs-debuginfo-1.11.17-6.FC3.x86_64.rpm 7231ad6c1bacb3c2e8e1d23434f6f540 i386/cvs-1.11.17-6.FC3.i386.rpm 820b4af4748a658e18d5e879b41bf81b i386/debug/cvs-debuginfo-1.11.17-6.FC3.i386.rpm This update can also be installed with the Update Agent; you can launch the Update Agent with the 'up2date' command. --------------------------------------------------------------------- From twaugh at redhat.com Wed Apr 20 15:34:44 2005 From: twaugh at redhat.com (Tim Waugh) Date: Wed, 20 Apr 2005 16:34:44 +0100 Subject: Fedora Core 3 Update: foomatic-3.0.2-13.4 Message-ID: <20050420153444.GD8706@redhat.com> --------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2005-333 2005-04-20 --------------------------------------------------------------------- Product : Fedora Core 3 Name : foomatic Version : 3.0.2 Release : 13.4 Summary : Foomatic printer database. Description : The cyrus-imapd package contains the core of the Cyrus IMAP server. It is a scaleable enterprise mail system designed for use from small to large enterprise environments using standards-based internet mail technologies. A full Cyrus IMAP implementation allows a seamless mail and bulletin board environment to be set up across multiple servers. It differs from other IMAP server implementations in that it is run on "sealed" servers, where users are not normally permitted to log in. The mailbox database is stored in parts of the filesystem that are private to the Cyrus IMAP server. All user access to mail is through software using the IMAP, POP3, or KPOP protocols. TLSv1 and SSL are supported for security. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: Several buffer overflow bugs were found in cyrus-imapd. It is possible that an authenticated malicious user could cause the imap server to crash. Additionally, a peer news admin could potentially execute arbitrary code on the imap server when news is received using the fetchnews command. The Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures project (cve.mitre.org) has assigned the name CAN-2005-0546 to this issue. In addition this version of the rpm contains a collection of other fixes since the last FC3 update (see below changelog). >>>>>>>>>>>> IMPORTANT NOTE FOR X86_64 INSTALLATION <<<<<<<<<<<< This rpm also fixes bug #156121 that incorrectly placed some executables /usr/lib64/cyrus-imapd. /usr/lib64 is reserved for 64 bit libraries and this caused problems for existing scripts that expected to find them in a canonical location (/usr/lib/cyrus-imapd) and violated the multilib packaging guidelines. Only references external to the cyrus-imapd package are affected by this, the rpm is self consistent. The most notable example is /usr/lib64/cyrus-impad/deliver which is now /usr/lib/cyrus-imapd/deliver (use of lmtp is encouraged in preference to deliver). This change only affects x86_64 installations. --------------------------------------------------------------------- * Mon Apr 4 2005 John Dennis - 2.2.12-1.1.fc3 - bring up to 2.2.12, fixes security CAN-2005-0546 * Mon Feb 14 2005 Simon Matter - updated to 2.2.12 - updated autocreate and autosievefolder patches * Sat Feb 5 2005 Simon Matter - updated autosievefolder patch * Tue Feb 1 2005 Simon Matter - remove special ownership and permissions from deliver - enable deliver-wrapper per default - enable OutlookExpress seenstate patch per default * Wed Jan 19 2005 Simon Matter - updated autocreate patch * Fri Jan 14 2005 Simon Matter - spec file cleanup * Tue Jan 11 2005 Simon Matter - updated autocreate patch * Fri Jan 7 2005 Simon Matter - moved contrib dir into doc, made scripts not executable * Thu Jan 6 2005 Simon Matter - added more fixes to the autocreate patch - don't use /usr/lib for /usr/lib/cyrus-imapd, it's a mess on x86_64 - don't use /usr/lib for symlinks - remove /usr/lib pachtes - change pam configs to work on x86_64 - changed default build option for IDLED to on - changed rpm_set_permissions to honor partitions in /etc/imapd.conf * Tue Jan 4 2005 Simon Matter - updated autocreate patch * Mon Dec 20 2004 Simon Matter - remove idled docs when disabled, fixes RedHat's bug #142345 * Fri Dec 17 2004 Simon Matter - removed allnumeric patch, not needed anymore - made groupcache a compile time option - rename nntp's pam service, fixes RedHat's bug #142672 * Thu Dec 16 2004 Simon Matter - updated groupcache patch - updated cvt_cyrusdb_all to use runuser instead of su if available - added upd_groupcache tool * Wed Dec 15 2004 Simon Matter - added groupfile patch to help those using nss_ldap --------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be downloaded from: http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/3/ 36cea34d82e4e8f127b0acd6aef20522 SRPMS/cyrus-imapd-2.2.12-1.1.fc3.src.rpm 7d86ca50692b8fb8174a9ba77577516b x86_64/cyrus-imapd-2.2.12-1.1.fc3.x86_64.rpm 3fac6beb580449fa88cf30ebd2cc00b1 x86_64/cyrus-imapd-murder-2.2.12-1.1.fc3.x86_64.rpm d6ae4bc28394cff12991ef41026560e4 x86_64/cyrus-imapd-nntp-2.2.12-1.1.fc3.x86_64.rpm 52f96c3c5dd2751fa345c98f26ae85ce x86_64/cyrus-imapd-devel-2.2.12-1.1.fc3.x86_64.rpm 17b55f1ed6883ac2c2e984b68d3110b6 x86_64/perl-Cyrus-2.2.12-1.1.fc3.x86_64.rpm 2ed2914ab0ec3291496374364c84833a x86_64/cyrus-imapd-utils-2.2.12-1.1.fc3.x86_64.rpm 71c9bd8df0da6beb33c7593285575b34 i386/cyrus-imapd-2.2.12-1.1.fc3.i386.rpm 99c59a28fd8ddf609788df73c67fd331 i386/cyrus-imapd-murder-2.2.12-1.1.fc3.i386.rpm 90bd0b98c63d2c9ec44b3c66933c613a i386/cyrus-imapd-nntp-2.2.12-1.1.fc3.i386.rpm 5e4a129f7e77f7840ac92d6fe481f18f i386/cyrus-imapd-devel-2.2.12-1.1.fc3.i386.rpm 5c097ebe78767a241b4617e8e945b95b i386/perl-Cyrus-2.2.12-1.1.fc3.i386.rpm 8eebd0cb12bf4ab005830782205afc1a i386/cyrus-imapd-utils-2.2.12-1.1.fc3.i386.rpm This update can also be installed with the Update Agent; you can launch the Update Agent with the 'up2date' command. --------------------------------------------------------------------- -- John Dennis From mclasen at redhat.com Thu Apr 28 02:42:05 2005 From: mclasen at redhat.com (Matthias Clasen) Date: Wed, 27 Apr 2005 22:42:05 -0400 Subject: [SECURITY] Fedora Core 3 Update: ImageMagick-6.2.2.0-1.fc3 Message-ID: <1114656127.3568.1.camel@c-24-218-204-47.hsd1.ma.comcast.net> --------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2005-344 2005-04-27 --------------------------------------------------------------------- Product : Fedora Core 3 Name : ImageMagick Version : 6.2.2.0 Release : 1.fc3 Summary : An X application for displaying and manipulating images. Description : SpamAssassin provides you with a way to reduce if not completely eliminate Unsolicited Commercial Email (SPAM) from your incoming email. It can be invoked by a MDA such as sendmail or postfix, or can be called from a procmail script, .forward file, etc. It uses a genetic-algorithm evolved scoring system to identify messages which look spammy, then adds headers to the message so they can be filtered by the user's mail reading software. This distribution includes the spamd/spamc components which create a server that considerably speeds processing of mail. To enable spamassassin, if you are receiving mail locally, simply add this line to your ~/.procmailrc: INCLUDERC=/etc/mail/spamassassin/spamassassin-default.rc To filter spam for all users, add that line to /etc/procmailrc (creating if necessary). --------------------------------------------------------------------- Update Information: http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/?l=spamassassin-announce&m=111474498317043&w=2 A bunch of bug fixes. --------------------------------------------------------------------- * Wed Apr 27 2005 Warren Togami - 3.0.3-3 - 3.0.3 - SA#4287 retval fix - allow replacement of rc service script during upgrades * Mon Apr 25 2005 Warren Togami - 3.0.3-0.r164513 - 3.0.3-r164513 (almost final) * Thu Apr 21 2005 Warren Togami - 3.0.2-9 - SA#4191 uri_to_domain() is broken for urls with empty port SA#4232 multipart message with 0 parts -> uninitialized in m// SA#4121 Score for user defined rules become ignored SA#3944 get_envelope_from not handling received header * Sun Apr 10 2005 Ville Skytt? - 3.0.2-8 - Own /usr/share/spamassassin (#152534). - Drop no longer needed dependency filter script. * Sat Apr 2 2005 Warren Togami 3.0.2-7 - req DB_File (#143186) * Sat Apr 2 2005 Warren Togami 3.0.2-6 - test svn 3.0 stable r122144 snapshot SA#3826 #4044 #4050 #4048 #4075 #4064 #4075 #4034 #3952 --------------------------------------------------------------------- This update can be downloaded from: http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/3/ 9c508b48045a7b3f93b0e4158d7b8723 SRPMS/spamassassin-3.0.3-3.fc3.src.rpm f89208110b57361b0ca4719b36a4ad73 x86_64/spamassassin-3.0.3-3.fc3.x86_64.rpm 242bdc367eda52572fbe97bc434c39c1 x86_64/debug/spamassassin-debuginfo-3.0.3-3.fc3.x86_64.rpm be410caf428bcc4ff0544db7b6c27d96 i386/spamassassin-3.0.3-3.fc3.i386.rpm d50375099c7d61e9068f2c174f34d5e2 i386/debug/spamassassin-debuginfo-3.0.3-3.fc3.i386.rpm This update can also be installed with the Update Agent; you can launch the Update Agent with the 'up2date' command. --------------------------------------------------------------------- From nphilipp at redhat.com Sat Apr 30 13:08:36 2005 From: nphilipp at redhat.com (Nils Philippsen) Date: Sat, 30 Apr 2005 09:08:36 -0400 Subject: Fedora Core 3 Update: gimp-2.2.6-0.fc3.2 Message-ID: <200504301308.j3UD8ajc026586@devserv.devel.redhat.com> --------------------------------------------------------------------- Fedora Update Notification FEDORA-2005-349 2005-04-30 --------------------------------------------------------------------- Product : Fedora Core 3 Name : gimp Version : 2.2.6 Release : 0.fc3.2 Summary : The GNU Image Manipulation Program Description : The GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) is a powerful image composition and editing program, which can be extremely useful for creating logos and other graphics for webpages.
