Installationsabbruch beim Kopieren des Installationsimage

Hallo Liste

Ich habe folgendes Problem bei der Installation von Fedora:

Während der Installation bekomme ich folgende Fehlermeldung
(nach Auswahl der Tastatur und Maus):
  "Unable to align partition properly. This probably means that anoter
   partitioning tool generated an incorrect partition table, because it
   didn't hav the correct BIOS geometry. It is safe to ignore, but
   ignoring may cause (fixable) problems with some boot loaders."

Egal wie ich partioniere (automatisch, manuell), der 
Installationsprozess wird immer beim Kopieren des Installationsimages 
unterbrochen. Die Fehlermeldung lautet:

  "Ein Fehler ist während der Übertragung des Installationsimages auf 
ihre Festplatte aufgetreten. Wahrscheinlich ist zu wenig Platz vorhanden."

Ich habe inzwischen einiges probiert:
- Partitionieren mit Partition-Magic
- Partitionieren mit Debian
- Installieren im Grafik- /Textmodus
- Verschiedene Festplattenaufteilungen

Bisher habe ich noch nicht probiert die ganze Festplatte zu löschen und 
alle Partitionen neu anzulegen, da ich das nach Möglichkeit vermeiden 
möchte.

Meine Partionierung:
1. Linux Partition ext3 - 7,16 GB
2. Linux Partition swap - 1,00 GB
3. Windows Partition NTFS - 4,88 GB
4. Erweiterte Partion
   4.1 Windows Partition NTFS - 5,58 GB
   4.2 Windows Partition NTFS - 18,63 GB

Der Rechner ist ein Medion MD5400 Laptop
2,53 GHz PIV, 512 MB Ram, 40 GB HD, Geforce 4 Go
