No, this fixes it in either case. I was just saying that eclipse works
fine until you view the Welcome screen and that whether it's during
startup or not is irrelevant.

However, I reported this on this list several months ago and no one
could reproduce the problem. It doesn't matter now so long as it's
fixed. I still get something like this on startup:

$ eclipse
Reaped unknown child pid = 10232
Reaped unknown child pid = 10233

This property is set by default:

gnu.gcj.precompiled.db.path=/usr/lib/gcj-4.0.2/classmap.db

Of course, this directory is empty. How do I make sure that the native
bits are being loaded for all my applications?

The code submitted to the rpm package upstream (in /usr/lib/rpm) uses
/usr/lib/gcj-%{version}/classmap.db and names the .so files
lib%{name}.so, but I guess there's no ``official'' policy on this yet.

Is anyone at FC working on finishing this integration? I am interested
in getting something like this going, or working with Ben or whoever
submitted those changes.
