To close this thread up for the list. This was:

Which was solved by Lillian through the following patch:
http://icedtea.classpath.org/hg/icedtea6/file/tip/patches/icedtea-enum-bug-181.patch
Which hopefully will soon be integrated into the fedora package also.

For OpenJDK upstream this is tracked in:
