Postfix is there from 7.3 (and was in powertools before I think).
People who wanted a sane MTA jumped ship a long time ago. Others wont
unless sendmail is moved in extras.

So if one wants to get rid of sendmail you only need to pull its plug
now. The grace period is long over.
