And there is a gazillon new hardware that will only work correctly with
2.6. So wich kernel is lamer ? Depends on your usage.

Current 2.6 is more than good enough to end up in rawhide (speaking as
someone who uses 2.4 and 2.6 systems everyday). There is no way it can
get as good as you want it without further testing. (Remember, when most
kernel developers will have switched to 2.7 it'll be way to late to
complain. The window for polishing 2.6 is *now*)
