Unfortunately, that doesn't do it. OOo will still load every dictionary
in the dictionary.lst file anyway, it just won't _check_ with them when
that's unchecked. It will still suggest them though. I took a couple
hours to go through the code (lingucomponent and linguistic modules in OOo
CVS) and its quite broken in some respects, especially dictionary loading.
There is no option to tell the spelling suggester to only check in the
current language.
Besides, you don't want to only check in the current language, you may
wish to check in English and French for example. However, unchecking
stuff in the Writing Aids->Edit boxes doesn't work (at least when I tried
it).
This appears to be a bug, since this works correctly in upstream 1.1.3.
After the holidays we'll be working on merging our local patches back up
to ooo-build and then jumping to 1.1.3 and pushing that down as an update.
Language packs will be split out too, but that might come after the 1.1.3
update.
