Hi again...

is anybody seeing the strange dhcp stuff as i am?
here's the is the problem:

my notebook's eth0 is configured with a fixed ip address (from my home
network). but when I do a dhcp (dhclient) query (dhcp-server is a big
cisco), my interface gets a new address, but the loopback interface --
lo -- loses its address.

lo stays up, but there's no 127.0.0.1 anymore on the system, with all
problems that follow...

anyone got an idea how this happens? dhcp spec that isn't followed
properly?

anybody seen this behaviour before?

thanks,

d.

ps: fc1 running on that machine, latest updates
