Not that it's a good argument, but the Sharp Actius MM10 (sold by
Emperor Linux as the "Meteor" can act as a USB storage device connected
to the desktop.  I don't know, but I suspect, this requires the gadget
support.  Of course, I'm sure Emperor will ship a 2.6 kernel with it
enabled, so it's not a big deal, but that's at least one "consumer
level" device that might be able to use the driver.
