daemons which lack policy

I'm going to run a tutorial on writing policy for FC2.  I need some daemons 
which lack policy, but of the programs in FC2 the only areas which are 
lacking are in difficult programs such as Postgresql.

Does anyone know of any daemons which are available in RPM form for FC2, not 
in FC2, and which don't need much work to get them going (IE not mail servers 
or other servers that can't really do much without other machines to connect 
to).
