Why are there only i686 and i586 Version of glibc and kernel? -- i386 is still around

There is no talk of dumping support for i586 and later machines. Maybe
binaries are not optimized for K6s, but you don't have to worry about
those machines not being supported by main stream Fedora. Not sure where
you got that idea.
