Hey all!
My Name is Neil Horman and I'm interested in getting more involved in
the open source community. I've read the self introduction guide on
fedora.redhat.com and am please to introduce...me :)

Name:
	Neil Horman
Location:
	Raleigh, North Carolina
Profession:
	Software Engineer
Employer:
	Red Hat

My Goals For Fedora:
As far as the Fedora project as a whole goes, I'd like to see it move
into a role that makes it the best Linux development platform in the
world (i.e. the bleeding edge of application and kernel development).
I'd like to see it have the most comprehensive package list of any
distribution available, with documentation that accurately details the
development state and stability of each package.
Personally, I'd like to start using Fedora to build my experience in
package development and maintenence. In a former life I developed linux
device drivers, and one day I would like to return to that, but before I
do, I'd really like to get more involved in the community development
process, so that if/when I take on more/other development roles, I have
a good understanding of how the development/qa/release process works.

Historical Qualifications:
My previous emplyoment was largely closed source, so I was afforded
little opporunity to participate without making people (bosses) nervous.
However, in my personal time, I've manged to participate by submitting
feature and bug fix patches to several projects, including ddd,
ethereal, cscope, and a few (internally at Red Hat) for the kernel. In
my last job, I developed device drivers for network switches that ran
embedded linux, so I have a strong interest in NIC driver development as
well. I've also tried to be active in comp.os.linux.development.*
newsgroups. I should have a number of entries in the archives... :)

I think thats about it. I'll be posting my cscope rpm up here, as soon
as I think its up to snuff (shouldn't be too long). Thanks for your
time, and I'm looking forward to getting more involved.

Neil
