Hello, all:

Ever since the upgrade to test1, I've not had any luck getting anything 
out of my internal speaker on two separate computers. It's unmuted in 
the volume control -- I checked. Anything else I can do to bring it back 
to life? It's quite useful on occasion, if only because now I have no 
idea when someone is pinging me in xchat. :)
