I guess I don't care if it's widespread.   Sure I can understand
others might care.

I thought it was a gcc bug but it's not clear, but since it's unclear
that led me to think it's a gcc bug.  When I look at the core it
appears to be some kind of race condition but I'm an amateur core file
sleuth.  I think this paragraph is in a race condition....

I did post my kickstart file and would be curious to know if anyone
else can repro.  I was able to repro.
