do RHE3 fixes get ported into FC and vice-versa?

Have done both, got nowhere fast.  To be fixed in FC4 is what I'm told.
Don't even know what it is that will be fixed.   I even tried to build my own
firefox and got stuck on the same problem (with a different symptom, something
with shlibsign)
.
I could just install all the stuff that comes on the cds but I don't want to
do that.   The fact that it runs for everyone else tells me there exists some
silent dependency somewhere.

Panic is never recommended in a situation.
