One point to remember however is that a lot of contributors to FOSS java
projects are quite happy with a sort-of-free java platform (with the
core part being controlled by Sun). There are precious few actors that
can make a completely free java a reality if even Red Hat closes the
door on it. Just take a look at the mp3 situation.

Free java will require some changes in upstream java projects. How easy
do you think it'll be to ask for them if FC does not even eats its own
dog food ?
