fun!  I hope that shaking out period includes an effort to make kudzu
aware of local changes so that local configurations can be restored
instead of kudzu defaults when the hardware is found again.  Auto
removal isn't a bad thing... as long as there is a way to save and
restore state information so kudzu's defaults are not relied on over
and over again.

As people have already pointed again in this thread... there is a
communication gap in what kudzu wants as a configuration for some
devices.. and what local admin/user wants.  Is the hal/network-manager
software stack suppose to provide the missing piece of the puzzle so
that kudzu doesn't have to deal with site specific configs?
