I'd like to see Fedora Core continue to slim down, and apps which largely 
duplicate functionality continue to move into Extras

One proposal: postfix in core, sendmail in extras. Vice-versa would be 
fine too, but I think Postfix makes more sense for core than sendmail - 
the design is more amenable to SELinux, and the configuration files are 
simpler for new users to parse

Of course, really slimming core requires support for generating cds of 
extras....
