Bernd, 

Thanks for taking the time to wrangle these issues and bring them to our
attention.  The root of this problem lies in our current update system,
which leaves lots of room for error.  I'm currently working on the
re-design of this system which should be in place shortly.  Upon
completion, the system will help us automate the majority of these
tedious tasks, hopefully preventing issues like these from reoccurring.
