2. What I would encourage folks to do in this situation is to try making
a workable set of packages INSIDE a Xen install using only the repos in
a default fedora core 4 install.(core, updates, extras) Then once you're
happy with it - dump the packages out using:
rpm -qa --qf "%{name}\n" and assemble those into a comps.xml file.

Then if you want others to test it simply make a repository like this:

mkdir myrepo
cp mycomps.xml myrepo/mycomps.xml
createrepo -g mycomps.xml myrepo

then post the url to myrepo.

Users can put that repo in their /etc/yum.repos.d/ dir and try it out.

Moreover if you have a minimum install and you think it would fit well
in core then post it up and give a list of 'features' available in that
minimal install.

Remember 'Core' in the comps.xml will always be installed, by default,
on anaconda installs.
