Request for Testing of Installer X Configuration on PPC

So booting with resolution=1024x768 helps?  Also, does the fb come up in
1024x768 normally?  (you can check by running fbset on the console and
seeing what it says the resolution is).   If so, then the patch I just
committed should help.
